Also too, keep in mind that it would be nice to have enough clearance and height, so that when the boat is inside the garage, that you have enough room to climb in/out of the boat and stand up inside it... It would just make it alot easier to enjoy and clean.. and not have to pull it outside to get inside it....

I can tell you a 7' door doesn't work. Tongue was on the ground and contemplated letting the air out of the tires but it didn't matter, the engine compartment was in so that's all it mattered. It only needed to stay like that for a week! :lolhit:

Yeah but the ceiling is only another 12" above the door frame! A better solution is to build an addition :) :evilb:

one other thing, being in the boat biz my shop is a nine footer and i have not had a boat that would not fit except for center consoles with the aluminum tower

Are you limited to 20' wide? That is really going to control what you fit beside your boat. My Super-hog almost fits, not. Moral of the story, go as big as you can...height wise 12' 6" is tough to heat but having a lift is great. http://i142.photobucket.com/albums/r...A2NDUuanBn.jpg

GD, I had a 10x10 garage door in a 12x52 garage. I kept my 43 NT in there usually January and part of Feb until it warmed up some. Worked great, no clearance problems. If you need pics let me know. Jeff

I have a cat CC being built but the Carbon Fiber T-top will have some way to tilt to make it fit in the garage...Im short by about 11-13"..Im working on that now.
