I also wonder about that eco-boost diesel from ford. Nice 6 cyclinder diesel that is very impressive.

^ I am pretty sure the EcoBoost is a gasoline engine.
Very cool article. Makes me wish my wife didnt make me sign a "treaty" that I wont buy another car for a while. Always wanted an LS 240Z And twin snails would be oh so nice. Oh well, maybe I can get the engine first lol.

A GM car guy in my group suggested a while back picking up some "junkyard" LS's and throwing them in a boat. How realistic is that? Would the auto engines hold up?

i used a GM 3970010 automotive block outfitted with Vortec heads, and automotive dual plane edelbrock intake in my Pachanga and had no issues. But I can see how there would be some interference with LS style intake mani's with a raw water cooling system. Of course i may be wrong and someone has done it already and I just look stupid for saying it

Ilmor is building LS-based engines for ski boats all the way up to a 522 hp 454. Look for sterndrive versions next year, with the 454 turned up to 550 hp.
