Interesting read. Check up on isobutanol. Nice little article in latest Boat US magazine talks about it. A joint venture of Dupont-BP is looking into it as a marine fuel and ethanol suibstitute. Like ethanol, it can be made from corn, seaweed, and organic detritus. I think the future of non petroleum internal combustion will require fermented fuels, allowing us to keep and contunue to refine most of our current tecnology.
