Love the "classic" look of the boat. I would have to assume a boat with 502s is around $40k(or more) cheaper than a 525 boat? That's a good chunk of change even for someone that can afford a new TG.

How can you not love this boat.
Fantastic builder, long term reliability powertrains w/extended warranty, and a fast stepped hull.
It's a GREAT LOOKING unit!!!

4bus,
I got a great chuckle from this under your avatar.
"Looking for a 35-38 go fast with stand up cabin"
The only thing that would hold me back, besides the price I couldn't afford, of the new boat in this thread would be lack of headroom in the salon.
I thought you purchased a boat recently but I may be thinking of another member's new boat thread.

See ya,
Kelly

I didnt notice a lot of options on the boat in this thread. No AC, what kind of cabin did it have?

Fuel does not cool converters, in fact it is the opposite.

Most converters go bad when something else causes the engine to dump un-burnt fuel down the exhaust, such as a constant ignition misfire. The unburnt fuel is trapped by the converter, starts an internal fire and destroys or clogs the converter itself.

I was only relaying info from the mercury service manual regarding running out of gas using this type on engine

80 MPH? really?

525's are turn key. Very reliable. Naturally aspirated. And 100 hp more than 8.2's.

The old playboy cig or the mystique?

Wasnt that a 35 hull?

The 35 TS Cigarette hull was the Playboy or Mistress models. With 500 EFI's they would run 80+ on GPS. Dont know if they ever made a 35 TS with 496 power, they did make the 30 Mystique with 496 motors. There is times I wish I had turn key power:drink:
