And i can give you some footnotes from actual use... ;).

Easier to use and install than a hydrohoist.
Cheaper than a hydrohoist.
Can use in shallower water than a ... ditto...
More portable than a ... ditto...

Makes docking a breeze! catches you at dock (dont go too fast though).

also from actual use:

Up: Keeps the hull clean and dry. Very cost effectice vs hydrohoist, jetdock, etc. Can be used in some marina's as it's not a permanant fixture. Small leaks easy to fix. Can be stored in large shed or garage in off season. Cleans easy with a power washer. People will pay a dollar to watch the boat go up an down....it's a real conversation piece (even more than the boat usually).

Down: depending on where you boat, you develop a new kind of hate for mussles or barnacles. Finding some leaks can be a PITA.

I've had my '32 on it every season it's been in the water and it's held up fine. I've had a stern chamber deflate once without any damage to the airdock or boat (except having to drag it out an find the leak lol). In that instance, an F-1/F-2 tornado passed within 100 yards of it while in the marina well...tore the top off every tree in it's path but boat an airdock stayed put with no issues but for the minor leak that patched up fine.

It's a solid product that does what it advertises. I bought mine used...and just sold it to another board member. Served me well.
