Default Looking for 400hp small block for cat

Wanting to put a good small block, efi in a new 30' cat. Have seen where mercury makes a few in that range for 7-8k. Does anyone else make any similar

saw these guys at the IBEX show this year, pretty nice stuff. Bit more then 400hp though . . . .

And a bit more than 8k I would guess. Very cool stuff. There is also the one from Lightning Performance Group. I think that's 675 hp. Here in 2012, Ilmor should be comming out with their SBC's for stern drive app.

May I ask why it's so important it's a small block? Oh, and don't forget that the Merc 400 SBC needs a good set of exhaust headers to run that number, factor that into the price as well.

Didn't Tyler Crockett put together a pair of SBC in a 32 Sunsation? He used a bunch of NASCAR part. I thought it was a pace boat for the St Clair Michigan races a few years back. Seems to me there was a thread on here about it.

Yea, those were SB2's i believe. Cool boat

PCM had some cool stuff there as well. Some lower HP stuff to i believe. ZR409 or the EX343?
