I have a 2006 400SS for sale. Freshwater only, low hours, perfect. Price dropped to $229K. PM for info.

I've got close to 500hrs on mine. Is freshwater boat and was not on big water. Mechanic pulled drives last fall for winterize and all was looking really good.

i have a 2006 400SS with 525's and has been in salt for last three years, 250+ hours

It takes more to keep it up then if it was sitting on a trailer but i would put this boat up against any fresh water boat as far as condition. Even with bottom paint it will still go 60mph

We also have some pretty big water out here so i was a little nervous about having the bravo drives with such a heavy boat and 525 motors but it turned out not to be an issue. ( i did have both drives gone thru last year and they needed it) but i think 250 hours with them is respectable.

Thanks for the info If you listen to most you would think it is acid, not salt. I was asking if there were any specific issues such as drives, heat exchangers, exhaust, strainers that would need to be scrutinzed or replaced. Are you running Bravo III"s or XR's

Mine has the bravo III xr's. If it has the 525 It will have xr's.

Bravo 3's

I also had them check my headers and no issues with them either.

Again it comes down to taking care of it, if you neglect it then you will have problems

There is no way you can win that battle. Saltwater gets eveywhere and does its damage.
