So, does this mean like all other out of production models the used price will drastically decrease????? LOL

One of the main reasons I wanted to dump my boat as fast as possible. Resale is going to hurt! Especially when you consider the life between the turbos vs the SCi. When the time is right the only engine I will consider is the merc turbo. Nothing wrong with the SCi but you just didn't get much run time between calling your mechanic.

The 1100's and 1350's are great but tooooo heavy.

Merc needs to get into some pressed graphite and or aluminum more to lighten these lugs.

Great power and great technology just needs to be lighter.


So how long before NASCAR goes this way?

With all due respect, I've heard no complaints on the "power-to-weight" ratio of either the 1350 or the 1100.

And if you think that beast is expensive now, just imagine adding pressed graphite to the package.

That, and aluminum push rods, etc, will blow sky high in a marine application shortly after they are installed & ran.

The 1075 was a sweet motor, & definitely put a dent in the "custom" engine market, on top of keeping the custom engine guys honest finally.
