Hustler has a 26 Classic and a 29 Rockit... We just have completed a 29 Rockit with an Ilmor 725 and the boat went 93mph. Both the 29 Rockit and the 26 Classic will be on display at the Miami Boat show this year.

if you actually want a decent size cabin look at sonic they're great in rough water but definately not going to be the fastest in light chop I don't live too far away from you you're more then welcome to look at mine to get an idea of the layout once the snows gone

Very happy with the ride of my 25' active thunder in the Ontario slop....handles 2~3's very well for a 25ft boat....been stuck in 3~6's with deeper holes coming back from the lakeview beaches and it handled well but I try to avoid them days, and stay in calmer waters in henderson bay area when it kicks up.

Take your hand and smack a tub full of water, then turn you hand and chop the water. Smacking the water hurts less and is softer every time :lolhit:

Sorry the way I was trying to explain it came out wrong. Brain was faster than fingers(: the warlock has a soft landing for a boat with a pad. Far faster speeds because of pad and on a warlock it has an angle v to it. A true deep v will go in smoother but will be slower. Thanks for correcting me.

If you want the security of a twin engine set up and a good size cabin, the 28 Donzi Zx is a great boat.

I had a 29' Kryptonite and loved it!
Great speed, rough water handling, and ran with much bigger boats. It did not have much cabin height due to it being a lower profile sit down boat. There is a reason it dominated the offshore race circuit in the F-1 class.

Baja 29 OL is a huge boat for its 29 feet.

I was impressed with how it tackled te ruff waves at the baltic sea this summer. The hull is great but some stuff, like the dash etc was a bit lose after that...

My suggestion is to bump up to 30-32'.. there are some great deals out there on boats in that size range and will handle a LOT more water than something 29 and under.

Bottom line, length and weight will get you the best ride. Length to stretch across one wave to the next and weight to bust through what you don't get over.

31 sonic, 32 Active thunder, 29-31 Formula just to name a few... go as big as you can afford! You won't regret it! Good luck!

I think you have that turned upside down there buddy. The pad often have less deadrise than the rest of the bottom. A "big" pad can actually create a hard landing hull.:thankyouthankyou:

Im in the same area and havea 29 fountain with twins. Works great. Not so sure you would want to be in anything more than 2-3fts going fast. That 29 has no issues with river
