My ex, John at Superboats, was going to sell his cat molds to Ron DiBartolo at Challenger about 18 months ago. I always figured that cat would make a great high-speed fishing boat to get out to the Canyon. I always preferred fishing off the cat as opposed to his deep Vees. Give it a try. You never know. im not sure if your buddy would be interested in webbcraft molds but im guessing he could get them for next to nothing.they havent built any boats for years and as far as i know the old guy still has them in a smal town by grand lake , ok.

ketchem is the town i think.i dont have a phone number and im sure there is no website.if your friend is interested i can do some more digging for info.

Wally If this guy has never done this before, then perhaps he may want to get a little practice first. Instead of laying a whole lot of money out to build 30 footers, he can pick up my molds and build a few boats to get the feel for it. Then if he still desires to stick with it, go into the larger boats.
