If you are not looking to spend huge money, belive it or not Pyle makes a few units that sound ok.

Get a set of 6x9's to match.
Amp wise I would get a 4ch. Run your four 8" off two of the channels, the 6x9's can run off the other two.
Don't mix subs with regular speakers unless you are going to seperate them with some kind of box under that bench.

depends on how rated and at what ohm level. A budget amp that claims 1000 and an actual 1000watt amp like jl,kicker etc will be way different. An ampo that big by one of the better companies would be amazing and if multi channel be great. A low end amp will probably be hot and clip all the time and sound so so. Plus you would have to run a couple of the low end amps whereas with the good ones one would do if you find one that big.
