Boat Performance **Video
I was surfing around youtube and found a few videos of a Sunsation 288. I really like the looks of the boat and I have heard very good things about this boat for the size.
So here is my question... Is the boat in the videos performing to its max potential. It seems to be flying extremely bow high on every wave. Is this how all 4500# boats in the 28 ft range handle this stuff or is this just poor driving?
And if it is just poor driving, how would you suggest working the tabs and throttle to keep the boat flying flat?

Yep, what everyone else has said....too much trim. My 29 rides and flies level unless I keep hitting the UP button, then I get what you see in these videos. My boat actually needs very little trim to run well and its easy to over trim it. I run mine with the tabs level or up slightly and drives up until the hull starts to feel lighter in the water (about 3 levels). Boats are different and this boat may need different settings to run the same. You would just have to play with it. You will know when you over trim it.
