Default Third ILMOR 725-powered boat in production at Formula

A second FX8 400 Supersport with Ilmor 725's works its way down the line at Formula. This is the second 400SS with these engines. The first 725-powered 382 should be water tested within a week or so. Note the power steering pumps on both engines. Nice touch.

C_Spray, do you know roughly how much more an Ilmor 725 400 is than one with 525s?

No, I don't. You'd have to call the factory, as the option doesn't show up online in Formula's "Build your Formula" feature. I'm guessing that it's an extra $30,000 or so.

If I could afford a new boat with new power, I would absolutely turn to Ilmor. What a class operation from top to bottom.

Maybe I can pick up a used Ilmor down the line for a repower.
