Default volvo penta outdrive help

Ok so I have an '87 spacecraft with a 350 and a Volvo Penta outdrive. There was a problem with the relays so the outdrive would not trim from the switch, however if I touched the trim wires directly to the battery, the outdrive would raise and lower no problem. I fixed the relay problem so now when you use the switch the trim motor engages however the outdrive now does not move up or down. I got out of the boat and grabbed it with my hand and now if just sits on the ground like it isn't attatched to anything. I mean if you grab it with your hand you can raise it up off the ground but it falls right back down if you let it go. I'm at a loss, it was attached and moving up and down fine prior to replacing the selenoids and fuses. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

what model drive is it? Is it power trim or power tilt?(On Volvos it is different between the two models). On power tilt models you can pick up the drive manually.
