Thanks for the Great pictures !!The Corvettes take a hit on HP ,Why not pull the engines and let the drivers just push the damn things ? I hate that.

We were there. Thanx for the awesome shots! My $100. digital sucks at it.
I did get some good ones of the circus that takes place in the infield though
Not sure which was funnier, the guy on the roof of the RV w/a fishing pole dangling beads in front of every hotty that walks past or the guy that had the rubber snake on the walk way w/a string tied to it's head. Didn't know it was there until he pulled the string making it move and the girl beside me let out a blood curdling scream and jumped 2' in the air
Steve 1, I want to look at the tech rules too. The Vette's were running good and spent most of the day holding the first two positions in class.
I would also like to know the handicap the diesels get. The 3 open class Audi's had the field absolutely covered. We watched one re-start after a caution period where they pulled out an instant straightaway lead over the field in the first lap!
Awesome race regardless. I bought one of the $20. race programs too and it was worth every dime! 60th anniversary of the race and the program was 200 pages of history.
Here's a few pix's for tonight. I'll post more tomorrow.
The parties in the infield were mind blowing! The hardcore line up outside the gate months ahead of time to get the best camp spots at the best turns. I heard one guy had been there since February! The best set ups built there own bars on site!
A couple of me. One by the famous clock just before the start and #2. was just because I could
Check out under the awning. A refrigerator and an ice maker next to it! And the sink.
This thing was just some ratted out tractor trailer that they couldn't have more than a couple $$$ in.
One had a complete kitchen in it.
Another place brought a ping pong table and foos ball table.
This place was amazing! They haul everything in and build it on site every yr and have been doing it for yrs!
Same place w/their recycled TV.
The creativity these guys had was amazing.
This guy had a tuna tower off a boat mounted to his pick up truck bed. Check out his buddy up stairs cooking on the grill!
How to do it on the cheap 101. Those are blinds haning from the cap They were backed up to within feet of the track.
