When it's big enough it can be justabout anything.. like a Termolli63/Masmar75/ Buzzis 55's/Magnums 60+...

But thenagain even the V.A.C. 2 is for sale....

You want top speed, buy a Hydro.
I know they ran a lot slower for most of the time, this episode has been shown here, over and over again for the last 4 years I'm not trying to take anything away from their run or the boat as such. All I'm saying is, that this boat is not really my thing, because I see it as something that tries to be an endurance racer, pleasure boat and go-fast all-in-one and I see it kinda presented at the be-all-end-all race winning boat. Which races has it won? Is it that much better than an OL SV52 in all areas, no. I'd much rather have an SV43 with big power running 160 flat out and can run 100+ in the ocean, but that's a different ball game and my taste. To each his own and apples to apples.

I'm not saying 92 ain't fast, it is for sure. It's just when 92 is mentioned today, I don't really get the goosebumps i used to. To be really out there today, you need to push 160 in a vee and 200 in a cat aparrently. Times change I guess.

I got my CDL

Actually I linked that just because it's actually reasonably priced at 800 total hours... and still no sale...at 72 feet it's 3 feet shorter than a MasMar 75 which is also faster... and a lot narrower and lighter

Otherwise I feel much the same about these kinda boats, too much of everything, Only the Termolli63 is a purposeful boat for performance only....But I had a peek of one very promising 55 foot patrol boat recently.. still under the wraps and classified though.

Guess you have to come over here when we get a storm kicking in at our 20' Hard chop that sinks Ships.... or the normal 5-6 footers that are whitetops always...

Hell I get kicks/goosebumps just to stay outthere in a Rescue boat and try to survive and pick some poor soul out.

90 is fast also even nowadays in Key West at the outer turns for any of us. 80 miles was fast enough for a 50 foot Mystic to go belly up 2009 in KW Harbour, I saw it.
So Saying.. I respect the sea....

The XSMG is actually a buzzi design slightly modified by an english naval architect.
