Well, I went and bought a Mercury Mirage Plus, 14.75 X 21. I have heard nothing but awesome things about this prop. Now I just wish the river would fill up so I can run it!!!

thats a great speed on your boat, i dont know much about the 222's but i think they are alot lighter the 241s i think most 241s in stk form get low 50s from a stk 454 or 460. I need to pull my prop off and see whats going on cause unless he messed something up i should had not lost mph while gaining rpm. before it was running like 17% slip and was really scuzzy looking lots of left over marine growth on it that just would not come off, the blades felt like sandpaper so i figured that was causing some of the extra slip. had no changes asked for just a polish and balance, prop looks alot better but now getting over 30% slip. but it does come up on plane faster

with the mirage prop it got the best of 53 GPS @ 4800 rpm. but the cruising speed was around 35 and 4000 rpm. sold that prop. in the mean time over the winter I rebuilt the 460, dynoed in at 438 horse at 5400 rpm. I currently run a 23 ballistic. best of 64 MPH @ 5200 rpm. still need to dial the engine in, only running 30 degrees total timing and its pulling almost 4 inches of vacuum at WOT, Im pulling the 600 holley off and bought an 800 off of an HP500 merc. hoping for 68-70 @ 5500 rpm!!!!
