I'm not worried about image. I learned long ago that's how to end up with something others like, but not the person buying it. It's strange that all the big, high end boats like Outlimits' or MTI's have windshields, but not the smaller, less expensive performance boats. I must have expensive taste. BTW, I noticed Outlimits is coming out with a 28...with a windshield.

The Lavey 28 Evo has a windscreen (canopy actually) too long for your spec's though.

Here ya go...why blow a lot of money on a new boat? Still turns heads - solid build - under 500 hrs. the 242LS with swim platform is exactly 26' LOA - nice cabin, too...

http://akroncanton.craigslist.org/boa/2883330039.html

will negotiate.

Nice looking boat, classic Formula. A new 240 SS will go for $95k with a Single 5.0

Blackjack58 your Formula looks beautiful. That would be one of my top picks. What is the top speed?

Formula 255 Liberator with twin Small Block Chevy's...'77~81....24 deg dead-rise...classic wave buster. You won't find a better ride under 30'...or equal free board.

They are getting harder to find as time passes but they are out there. The closest boat that I would compare over all is the 26' Cobalt Condurre.

Cool boat! Twins and an impressive cabin. Now that's a boat that looks like it could handle the Pacific. Look at the amount of freeboard!

Here is a guy restoring one in this Formula 255 Liberator Restoration iboats thread

Thanks for sharing.

Yeah, that is a TON of freeboard for a 25 foot boat! I also cant believe how heavy that boat is! 5600 lbs! Thats over 3 tons wet! Probably the heaviest 25 ft boat Ive ever seen. A true wave crusher!
