Apparently it was just the gasket, they told me they'd let me know if the riser was bad.

Also supposedly they are new risers. But I am not sure I believe that (just got boat). They don't look new and I would have thought they would have put new gaskets on.

You can buy IAC at most Autoparts stores. Change them as soon as you get a beep because the driver in the PCM can burn out as well and its alot more $$$$. Usually smells like burnt plastic in the bilge. 496s burn IACs as well and other misc sensors

This is what the IAC off my 6.2 looks like. I happen to have one in my office that took a crap and just snapped a couple iPhone pics for you. Been meaning to cut it apart in attempt to figure out what went wrong. Have replaced the IAC on each engine and now keep a spare in the glove box. The replacements have been running fine so far, so not sure if it was just a bad batch or if it is an application issue.
