Reggie: I hope you're reading this post and I hope you or someone in the industry can get into the growing market for a nice 28-29 foot single engine v-hull that will run 88-96mph with some reasonable cost 565-600HP power that can reach the buyer market for that $125Kto $150K price model. A nicely equipped boat with good moderate rough water manners, nice usable size cabin and comfortable room for 5 people and gear, now that would be the BOMB!
JMO, "Build it and they will come!"

Best Regards,
Ray @ Raylar

Let's be realistic. The outer limits is 1000 lbs lighter. Make them the same weight and the outer limits will get crushed. Period.

Why should OL have to build a heavier boat? Nobody is telling each manufacturer what weight to build their boat. If OL can build a lighter boat that can perform as good or better in the rough water as well as be faster, then good for them.

I think Reggie already did, he just needs to head down to the old plant in the cover of darkness and grab the 27/29 Fever molds!

Yeah, I wonder where those smaller molds are...

A lot of people don't realize the Watch Your back boat is the 33' mold. They took the beak and platform off to make it a 30 footer(plus cut down the deck, etc.)

All I know is the OL SV29 ran 98mph with 600hp in the Desert Storm poker run in full pleasure trim with five guys. I was one of the guys and I weigh 280lbs so it wasn't like we were all horse jockeys :-)

We also had three ice chests and a ton of gear for the weekend. In fact we even had two anchors and sand spikes because I thought the boat didn't have any on board and I put another set on. So literally it was a very heavy load and still went 98. Oh and by the way the 98 was in big chop coming from every direction.

I can't wait to see what it will be in Race trim but I am pretty sure it will crush any other 29 V bottom out there.

Just my opinion, another ass-whole.. :-) LOL
