Does the chain have good fireworks? We've always wanted to go down to Chicago (assuming that they had some really good ones) but it never happened. Of course, it ain't gonna happen this year either.

Quick question for you Chain-O-Lakes guys. We are getting back into the little speed boats again. I just got another HydroStream and my friend just bought an Allison.
Have any of you all been to Sam Bakers "Firewater" in August?
Is it worth the 15 or so hour drive. I heard it is but just wondering what your take on it is.

DaBeezer - sorry we will be at LOTO over the 4th otherwise we would hook up. We live on Channel Lake about 4 houses north of sandbar.
Cord - think of LOTO on Sunday during our recent Memorial weekend trip. That is what Fox Lake looks like except imagine it dark with hundreds and hundreds of anchor lights. It is a fun time and everyone is fairly courteous leaving the area as Officer Friendly is well represented.
Mark - don't really know about Sam Baker's "firewater", but my neighbor races with assistance from Sam. I'll ask him about it.
The fireworks are scheduled for July 6th with a rain date of July 7th.

I would but we leave for LOTO the next day and I'm not going to take the chance of hurting something and ruining the trip !!!

Fireworks at Mineola on July 6th.
Just got off the phone with Baker Marine Support and he said to keep watching their site for info. He said they are trying to set up something different this year, but haven't nailed down a date yet.

I wish I was going with you guys...but someone needs to represent the board on the "muddy waters".
Thanks for posting the dates 26ZX, we will definetly have to hook up for a "cool one" at Blarney's when you get back.
Come on G-Force...where are you hiding at ????
