Default California Skaters

With so many Skaters across the country, it seems that not a lot find their way out to call California home. There are even less since the economy turned a few years ago. Here are the ones that I know of in Northern California currently. Please add to the list, as I think it will be interesting to see just how many are out here on the Left Coast.

46 w/ 4500hp turbine - Howard Arneson
388 w/ 1350s - Gary Colledge
40 w/ 1350s - Gary Colledge
36 w/ 730 ci N/A - Rod Karnofel
36 w/ ? currently - Rod Karnofel
388 w/ 1350s - Karl Koster
36 w/ 1000s - Ed Stewart (this is his old boat that he still has, Ed also has a new 42 MTI w/ 1200s)
40 w/ 1100s - Leonard Vella
40 w/ ? currently - Mike and Jess Travis - Travis Racing
388 w/ 1200s - Larry Kramer
32B w/ 575s - Mark Hazen
32B w/ 500s - Rob Storelee
32A w/ 2.5/280s (4 of them!) - Van DePiero
30 w/ 588 N/A - Dale Rayzor (me)
28 w/ 300XSs - Rick Bowling (Rick also has the converted race 37 Talon "Gone Again" which has 1350s going in it)
28 w/ 300Xs - Hank Andrade
28 w/ 300Xs - Paul Molokenus
28 w/ 300PMs - Steve Sherman
28 w/ ? currently - Scott Price
28 w/ 2.5/280/ROSs - Dan Gatto
21 w/ 300XS - Dan Gatto

I know of some Skaters out of the So Cal area as well, but I'd rather leave those for the So Cal guys to post up. I think it would also be interesting if guys who own other brands of true catamarans (MTI, NorTech, Spectre, Motion, DW, etc.) in California post up here as well. We all know that the majority of cats in California are centerpod cats, and I think it will be interesting to see just how many true cats are out here in California.............

Does a Jaguar qualify as a true cat? It's a tough and well built old girl. Takes a licking and keeps right on going strong. Nice post, Dale. Terry's 32' Freedom skater.See you in the Delta. Doug

Of course your beautiful rig counts Doug - no centerpod in your tunnel! And yes, I thought about the Freedom 32B Skater that Terry inherited, but since it's only sat in storage for sale since he acquired it, I didn't think to put it on the list. I sortof figured it as good as gone, like so many other 30'+ boats from the area in the last few years. Next time I plan a run out to the Bay, I'll get ahold of you.
