Default Can i get scammed with paypal ?

I have a 47 fountain listed on oso since last friday... already have a guy friday calling me live on my cell asking for info, and for more pictures... just got his email 15 minutes ago, sent him pictures right away and got an instant kind of '' OK I buy your boat '' answer... do you think there is a way to get screwed once money is received thru paypal???

here is the answer I got as a copy and paste:

Thanks for your mail...Due to nature of my job i will not be able to come for inspection,am a very busy type as i work long hours everyday,i have gone through your advertisement and i am satisfied with it.

Your price is Okay and i can offer you little bit more is $180,500 i hope my offer is acceptable..?
As for the payment..i will be paying you via the fastest and secure way to pay online(PayPal).

I have a private courier agent that will come for the pick up after the payment have been made ..

You can now send me your PayPal email so i can pay in right away and also include your address in your reply. If you don't have a paypal account, you can easily set up one...log on to www.paypal.com. and sign up. its very easy.I await your reply asap.

P.S Kindly ignore any similars email you received they are all my mate workers.
Thanks....

Yea you can. Stolen paypal account pays you the money, you get cash in hand in your account and then a week or two later, once they figure it out your account will be negative for that entire amount plus you wont have your boat.

Always do yourself a favor when selling a boat. Sometimes a buyer (ie, like to a known and trusted for many years member here) cant come see the boat in person. If that's the case they must send a representative of themselves (who will also answer to them if not satisfied with something after they get it) to come inspect the boat before the sale. I have seen a few internet wars over stupid things. One mans "great" is another mans "o.k." or even worse.

And yes this is a scam thats been going on for years.
