Formula 272 For sale, anything to check???
I am going to go look at this boat, the price is unreal and even though I shouldn't buy another boat, I have to at least take a look. Talked to the guy and it seems immaculate (ya, I know how that goes) and he seems real motivated to sell. I'll need to clear this with the boss and now isn't a real good time, but being me I have to at least go see it!!!
Thoughts and suggestions are appreciated!!!

i dont think the price is unreal. old square windsheild, no bolsters, no trailer. lets say you got it for 7, you still need a trailer, now your still in it for 10.

Don't need a trailer, I'd drive it down to my rack storage buliding ~30 miles from where it's at. Jesus though, I doubt I could get it for $7k...a 27 ft twin engine anything in excellent shape???

Just saw the boat, you could eat off it...
Checked the transom out and bilge drain and no sign of rot. EVERYTHING works and this guy waqs clearly pretty anal about things. Decision time...I didn't talk price to him at all yet.
Apparently thats not as good a price as I thought based on your feedback. After seeing it I'd almost feel like an a$$ offering him much less than $9k...

11k isn't a great price. Been around a few of them. W/out a trailer I would definitely want to be under 9. Just my $.02. Love Formula's. If you like it, get it around 8500-9 and have fun w/ it. Heads up she'll run 60-63 with stock motors. But it'll handle big water

Damn, I guess my price estimation is way off, I paid $8800 for my liberator a few years back and thought that was a steal...though I guess a 502 is worth a whole lot more, it also had stainless marine manifolds and a few other things. It also included the trailer (aluminum I-beam). My boat is a fairly slow hull but handles the rough stuff awesome for its size, and it's obviously no formula for build quality. A 27 would be nice for my growing family though. Although my current boat is faster....
