Steve,
Here's the link to the ROPA site for the application.
No info about the run except the dates.
I'll be there. Usually about 75 boats enter.
Always fun and a great lake to run.

I'll be there too. I'll be in the start boat for the radar run. Stop by and say hi. BTW, jump on this fast as the run WILL be full soon. Limit is 80 boats.

Nut,
Speeds depend on who is coming. Highest I can remember from years past is about 136. Boats are divided into classes such as single engine V hull stock, twin engine V modified etc. Speeds range from high 50s to who knows? A lot of boats in the 60-70 range. Conditions usually are in the 1' of wind chop with a few boat wakes range. I have run my 24 Progression in the high seventies with no problems under the usual conditions. Are you planning to attend?

The usual conditions from my previous post are for the radar run which is in the late afternoon. The lake is usually rougher in the AM when the run starts with seas in the 2' range typical. Usually dies down as the run progresses. We will have boats from 20' (or less, one year somebody did the whole run on a Waverunner) to maybe 40+'. BTW, the highest speed I ever saw from a single engine V at this run was a 26 Scarab with a Blackhawk drive at 96 MPH.

Laster, Padraig,
What are you running?, so i can look for you.
I'm running a 271 Formula.
Nut,
As Laster said, a little rough in the morning sometimes, but then calms down as the run goes. Pretty much anything can handle it.

M2, I will be in the 24 Progression flagging the start of the radar run. Will probably run in one of the 45 MPH groups. We are staying at the Rainbow ( the motel to the south of the Showboat) and should be at the dock there somewhere. I would love to bum a ride in your boat. I think it is really sharp inside and out. Look us up. When are you planning to arrive? BTW, is that picture from last year's run?
