If your goal is to spend less and have fun for a few years until you upgrade you can have alot of fun for 30 or less. I have a 98 scarab 29 twin 350 does roughly 70. They are fairly modern looking well balanced and handle waves great. I also boat on lake Erie. There is another 29 scarab on eBay with new stock motors the guy has been trying to sell for 34 and is now down to 29. I think you could probably get it for 27?? It's a heck of a boat for the money. Just my opinion however
I do not know where the paint is you will have to ask the owner (just kidding), I do not think it has been run in many years. I saw it on the trailer in Cape May, NJ about five or six years ago. Apparently according to the ad someone died, boat has been forsale for a few years with a major price reduction.

I guess it does not matter, the thread starter is not ready to pull the trigger on anything. Maybe someone will see this thread and buy your Scarab, good luck in the sale.

formula or fountain. Keep in mind tow vehicles anything over 30ft is probably going to require a diesel. For lake erie minumum I would want would be 24, and optimal would be 25-30. Obviously over 30 ft is probably best but those types of boats are totally different ball games as far upkeep and operating exspenses.

I have a very nice 2000 PowerQuest 26' for sale in Michigan. $24,900. Cruising speed 45 mph, top speed 60 mph.
Great boat for the Great Lakes. Deep V. w/ 454 MPI
Excellent, "turn key" condition.
