also look at the 2 loop hoses around the back of the steering valve. one of mine was rusted through. topped off the reservoir and pink spray everywhere. BIG FUN to pull the valve off. then i used 2 copper versions of brake lines. 8 bucks each. need a tubing bender to shape them.

Thanks for all the help everyone! I decided to get the oem hose. I just wanted to be able to finally use the boat. I just got the boat in july and have been working on all month. Today was the first time I was able to use it. I replaced the power steering pump with an automotive one that I read on some threads that people used in the past. Now I used my old restricter valve because I thought the automotive one allowed for higher pressure, is that true? When the engine is running is the steering supposed to be much easier to turn then when off? Mine is defiantly easier to turn when the engine is on but I wouldn't say drastically better. I really notice it though when I start to make a fast turn that it helps assit. Is this how it is supposed to be? Thanks!
