Default Mucho storms!

Well, after a prolonged dry spell, we finally got some rain. And boy did it rain! Had 1.2 inches in about 30 minutes! The tree by the river broke off and just barely missed the house! By 2'! Luckly it broke off 10' up, because if it hadn't I wouldn't have a have a bed room any more. That's no joke! I'll borrow the digital camera tomorrow and post some pics.

Same storm just went thru here Tim. What a light show. Power flickered a few times, but never went out. Usually, every time there is a thunderstorm, I lose power. Must be they figured out why and fixed it. My neighbors and I have complained about it often (we are the only street to go black when we get thunderstorms.

Waterfoul (Mike), about a year or so ago you posted a link to a weather web-site of some sort. Do you remember? Could you please post it again? Thanks.

Glad to hear your boat is running well

Rained so hard here it overflowed the storm sewers on Seaway drive. The water over the road near Laketon was at least up to my waist and approximatly 100 feet across. I pulled up to it in my 3/4 Ton Dodge and didn't attempt it. I watched countless idiots get flooded out in that mess. I even saw a young female attempt to cross the water in her Geo. What a sight. I pulled off to the side of the road and watched in horror as she got 1/2 way across and stalled out. She then got rear ended by another dope in a Saturn who thought it was best to get a running 30mph head start. The car just hydroplaned and slammed into the rear of the Geo.... Do I hear canidates for the Darwin Awards here! Sheeze!

It was a miracle that no one got seriously hurt..... I helped out and got soaking wet, needed a pair of waders thats for sure.

Some days it just pays to stay on the boat and drink....

Tim, so close yet so far,,,,,,,,,same storm rolled through my area and brought just a bunch of lightning and a few droplets of rain. Sure could of used that rain that you got.

At least the temps dropped. Yesterdays hot and humid was too much.

Yea, it's nice and cool now. Of course, it's still 100% humidity, so the fog is pretty thick. Took another walk around the yard, and oh, what a mess!
