Just to be clear, I was contracted through an advertising agency and NOT GEICO.
After the shoot, we put the boats on the trailer and inspected them for damage. Other than 8 hrs of baked on salt spray everything looked fine. I did have some problem centering it on the trailer when I loaded it and looking back it was probably because....
The following weekend I put it in the water, went to put it in drive and the one drives did nothing. We found a broken prop shaft and linkage issues. Fixed that, got it running and than an engine started overheating. (Oil cooler and lines were stuffed to the gills with eel grass.) So that is the story.
They said they would pay for all damage but had to be notified within the first 48 after the shoot. I tried but got no responses.
Chalk it up to good experience/bad experience.
