Not Quite. "Good Time" laws were invented by jailers that wanted a way to give prisoners an incentive to behave while in jail. Some say it was so wardens could hire fewer guards and cut their budgets, thus freeing up money to spend on other things (like warden's salaries). Can't blame this one on anyone but the prison system. :cool:
