Default Hey TOMCAT- Carbs and centrifugal Blowers

Check out the new HOT ROD mag- Aug '02 and CAR CRAFT mag- Aug '02. This is right up your alley.

SB 383 with vortech blower 8lbs--677HP!
BB 454 with vortech blower 7lbs--779HP!!

Both use the 'Mighty Demon' carb and it works!

What do you think about the box around the carb. vs just a hat over the top of the carb. and not pressurize the whole carb?
Marty.

What’s the matter with billet rail fuel injection? Seems to me the most logical thing to use !like infinitely adjustable even from the internet! Pressurized box with 30 year old carburetor technology, wait for that thing to cough once LOL

Hats cause internal pressure to spew past the throttle plate seals in the carb base. Kind of a bad thing in a car, but extremely bad thing in a boat (enclosed compartment and such).

Duh, about the carb hat. It was late and I had a brain fart. It needs to stay coast guard approved.
