Still trying to dial in the set-up, only seeing about 111mph right now, hope to see 115mph before winter comes :-)

Only seeing 111 mph, you Skater guys are something else!

I thought he was insinuating that Craig didn't have hull number 1, I was going to disagree.
Not at all; cool. Maybe some details of this ride, thanks.

I bought the boat from the original owner (Harry...great guy) in up state NY. I checked with Peter before I bought it to verify that the tanks were vinyl-ester and not epoxy...he did verify that and this was indeed the very first 28, still in it's original colors, Harry did do a little upgrading in the dash. Still has 2.5's. and on it's original trailer too.
I am planning on upgrading the entire boat.

And after the upgrades you'll sell it to me (cheap of course) so you can upgrade to 388 Skater.

I would have bought that cat if I had mine sold already. really nice boat from the pics. congrats. That 28 looks fine just the way it is. the only money I would spend on it would be to make it goe faster. Just my .02 cents.

haha...maybe sell it to you and upgrade to 388 lol but not cheap

the interior and paint are showing a little age... just dated, not beat up and torn... have the race hatch for it as well.

Craig,

We look forward to working with you when your ready for the interior.

Sometimes is seems foolish to put a bunch of time and money in a old boat to make it brand new again and it dosn't change the NADA value, or is it AS foolish to by a brand new boat that is worth half its value a year, or two down the road?

My 1996 28 is sporting numbers ending in 580 does that imply 580+ 28's have been built?

Awesome job guys, I hope some day mine will look as good as yours did.

well running the numbers its close to a wash vs buying a late model that an original owner puts a year or two of time on one and is ready to move on...but then you get someone else's vision, and of course its not yours, so you want to do this and that which cost you LOL. plus i do have the #1 28 which to me is worth a little something

look forward to working with you guys and again great resto on this one!!!!
