Wow No St. Pete?...
That would be a major bummer.

Let me ask: From a racer's or race crew's standpoint, how do the logisics compare with a race in the Bahamas verses a race on our mainland?....Besides the boat itself(that's obvious), how does one get their trucks, gear, support equipment, hardware, etc over there? Container ships? Air freight? What about cost? Convenience? What about pit locations, emergency needs like parts and the like? How practical is this really?

Just wondering. Thanks!

Did'nt APBA have a race planned there last year that was cancelled due to the medical facilities available in Freeport? I go there once a month and I know for a fact that there has been little change in the hospital there. Not the place you wanna be if you're injured.

Last I saw Marina Del Ray replaced Atlantic City on APBA schedule for about two weeks, then Atlantic City was back on the schedule and nothing more on Marina Del Ray.

Rumor has it that Atlantic City is dead in the water too.

Offshore has to be the flakiest sport in the world. Why do we love it so much????

APBA is still set for Oct.18-20 in St.Pete as of yesterdays website schedule.I agree with Baja Daze how do u get all that equip. over there and make a profit.I was looking forward to that St.Pete race also.SBI can`t fill their shoes in Sarasota, too few boats way to many broke down.

Default Just Like NASCAR????????

They do such a great job of following thier model.

I'm not a big NASCAR fan - but I don't recall thier schedule changing every f-n' week.

Whatever.

Default Why aren't we asking "what happend to st pete?"

My first question as what happened to the St Petersburg venue? Great Races ,Great Money maker, Actually get to see the race!

My guess is St Pete officials don't trust Alweiss at APBA after getting screwed around by him last year and gave him the boot. (My opinion, I'll check into it for confirmation)

Why should they. This organizations President just STOLE the supercat & supercat lt records from the teams that worked so hard to earn them!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
