All depends on the storm surge, but where I live we had cars sitting on the roofs of homes from Hurricane Katrina...just sayin! If I was you I would get a friend, rent a truck or whatever you have to in order to move your boat!

I have a place with plenty of room 45 miles inland if that helps.

I remember when the storm/hurricane Irene we had last year, got Long Island. It wasn't as bad as they said it would be! But for a mild to semi moderate tropical storm, the shipyard I now work at was half flooded, the docks along the bay were almost or half submerged! Houses that sat by the water, their backyards got flooded!
If this hurricane is as severe as they say it is, take Irene on long island and double, triple it! It will be like 10x worse!
Luckily, all the boats are at my house where they;ll be safe, I hope.,

And keep in mind you posting this knowing that your boat is sitting on a trailer and if it floats away bashing into every house on your block your liable for the damage it caused, insurance company don't cover the act of god damage..i know this is true because i saw someone being sued in NJ on peoples court,,no joke for real the the guy with the boat had to pay for all the damage his boat caused..
