Thumbs up

The boat was originally Dave Scott's raceboat. Johnny knows the boat well considering he rigged it first.

Correct on both counts. And it originally was a rudder-steered boat at that.

Precisiondetails question on updates regarding the other 1700-powered Skater is the underlying reason why D'Anniballe says he decided to buy his own project boat for the engines. He has no control over how much or how little the other Skater is used, the events it gets taken to and so on.

So the project boat will be as much of a promotional vehicle as anything else.
Gotcha bud
Thank you

I thought at one time this boat was 6 drives that did not stear but had a rudder for that. If I'm not mistaken it's the same boat showcased on good morning America and just before that showing the boat broke a record and ran something like 203 mph. With the 1500's. Woder what they are expecting with an additional 400hp

You are totally correct on the boat's former setup (No. 6 drives and rudder) as well as the Good Morning America Showcase, in which TV host Matt Lauer got the ride of his life.

Lots of history in that boat. More to come if I had to guess.

Yes, and I added a picture of the stern to the story for those who are curious about it, http://speedonthewater.com/new-boats...bo-engine.html.

Are the skagless drives in a fixed strait forward position for the rudder to handle all the steering or do they turn as well?
