Thumbs up Took a ride on my buddies Outlaw last night !

That was a crazy ride to say the least

It is a 24 Outlaw. There were 4 of us in the boat and the last time i glanced over the GPS Speedo was reading 90 and he still had throttle left

When he backed out of it all you head was a pop and a belt squealing......The pro-charged blew, and locked up!! This is the second time this has happened to him.

Anyone else having procharger problems???

He might have an alignment problem and/or the tensioner is too tight.

Does he have a blow-off valve? What happens is when you close the throttle and all that boost can't go into the motor it backs up and goes backwards into the blower and scroll housing and causes the impeller wheel to shift and slam against the housing and break off tips of the blades or lock up. What model PC does he have? One of the older models? Where does that piece of impeller blade go? yep into the motor or intercooler if it stops it.

well Cobra and Ken are right, and if it is a stage 2 or higher you will need the dump valve to get rid of the pressure, stage 1 does not need this pop off valve, and i know of a couple of people that had belt problems, also if it is the self contained model make sure he is using the correct oil !

Man thats flyin'! What the hell does he have to get that thing into the 90's. It's not an easy task in a 24 Outlaw! Did anyone check their pants after that run?

WOW 90 ! I had an 89 24 baja . In the low 70's was wild !! Once in Philly I was racing a big bad Cigarette and it started chine walking so bad it was almost touching the rub rails in the water ! That was a fun boat though !

Sorry to hear about the blower .Hope it works out this time !

I think it is a stage 3 charger and it is new as of last year when his other blower came apart. And i think the last time it came apart, the parts got forced into the motor and caused some damage.

The motor was dynoed just under 1000 hp.

But that was the first thing he said when we saw what happened....."this piece of **** needs a blow off valve". Anyway he said he is tired of wrenching, and selling the boat and getting something else more reliable.

My other buddy has the same boat (24 OUTLAW) with 1100+ hp with a roots blower and a BMAX. Had the opportunity to run in that on Saturday.

WOW

Once we planed off we were at 80 in a matter of seconds.....it was unreal!! Then he gave me a quick hammer down. His GPS speedo was approaching 95 before he got out of it. I had to check my pants after that run!
