Yep, our CU charges $50 for an app, but they'll waive that even.

shop around, know what's available, know you rcredit rating.

i just refinanced TODAY. went with National City (Ill and Mich bank I think) got good deals right now.

home equity line of credit = $0 fees. they pay them.
variable rate 5.25% or
fixed 7.25%

boat loan, $90 fees I think, 7.5% fixed rate,
