I am surprised one of the "bigger" engine builders hasn't bought it? You would think a guy like Teague or Stellings would have enough stuff lying around to put a pair of big power motors together? Even if they "flipped" it as a turn key boat when it was done.

Good luck! Hey if they are taking the time to fly out they must be somewhat "serious"
It's a real nice boat, hopefully see it on the water one day (-:

If its what you want is one thing. Realistically someone would put 70-100k+ to be water ready with new power....then what??? Now you have a ten year old boat that you sunk a chunk of money in that probably won't sell for what's in it.....gotta really want it

If you are buying new power it will be more than 70 to $100k. Add another $12k for trannies, $20k for exhaust and $15 to $20k for rigging and incidentals. Depending on the purchase price you would have $250 to $300k in a 47 ft boat with brand new power and rigging. A new SV50 will cost around a $1mil. The depreciation on a new one in one year will pay for the 47.

Agreed that you have to want the boat. But it makes a lot of sense to take some of these hulls that are 5 to 10 years old and turn them into your own custom boat for a substantial discount over new. I would rather rig a boat with my own new power than buy somebody else's headaches. Yes, you are going to spend more money upfront but you will know exactly what you have and will enjoy the trouble free boating.

If you want to put Merc 1075's in THIS IS NOT THE BOAT FOR YOU because the numbers don't work in your favor....I have no problem telling people that....put 1000hp to 1500hp

I see it as follows so anybody please correct me if I'm wrong.....

motors = $35,000 - $45,000
trans = $6,000 ($3,000 per/ 1 plug in and 1 driveline)
Headers = $6,000 ( $3,000 per side - I have the tail pipes and they go with boat)
Driveline = $500
Props = $7,000
Rigging = 5,000 (basically just dropping the motors/trans in/ connect headers to tail pipes/ wires everything)....and that's an expensive rigging to me..(my guy charges $1,000 per motor)..and I have the engine plates for it so it is as easy as dropping in the motors.

Total = $59,500 to $69,500

At least that's how I see it......that is to get in the boat and go
