I have adobe at home and I tried to get the pic that small and the file size was always too large, which adobe did you use? 5.0? so how exactly did you make it uner 2500 bytes?

I was going to image size, and i changed the res to like 30 and resized to 64x? but everytime I did that it came up larger than 2500 bytes.

Many thanks sir! I just used that site to re-do my avatar - it worked great and I'm an idiot when it comes to computers.

I used Adobe 5.5. What I did was go to the Image menu, selcted Image Size. It displays the current image size in the boxs. I changed the image size to 64 width, and since I always have the "constrain poporations" box checked, the height automatically changed to 43. I do not change the "resolution" settings here....leave it at 72 (normal for internet photos).

Next, under the file menu is a "Save for Web" menu. I'm pretty sure this is in the 5.0 version too. Anyway, here is where you can play with the "quality" of the image. You can also change the file type too. Usually, you don't notice much change in quality at a setting of 50 or more, but the file size changes quite a bit. After that, select OK and save the new file.

That's all.

The image layers have to be "flattened", then when you go to SaveAs, it should appear.
