Liquid asset, why not buy an 02 chevy or gmc? Not to start a whos better war but ford has 50 less hp, 15lb ft less torque, considerably louder, no allison tranny, single piston calipers vs dual piston calipers(gm), limited slip rear differential vs locking rear differential(gm), a tarnny that you have to take out of OD to tow vs one you dont(gm),no dynamic brake proportional valve(gm has), integrated headrest vs adjustable(gm),etc., etc. etc. Sorry just my .02 worth.

And after 03 ford is scheduled to replace the powerstroke which could result in lower trade in values.

Talking Avalanches ???

Sydwayz, is that leftover '02 stock, or new order '03's. I heard that you will be able to order an Avalanche with the lower body cladding painted to match the truck in '03. I was never a fan of the battleship gray look, but the all black Escalade version looks great.

Only for in stock 2002 Avalanches. I drove the Cadillac EXT yesterday. It is AWESOME; but it has a very high power band, like a dirt bike. Too wishy washy for towing. It has the same HP rating as the 8.1L in the 2500 AV, but the Tq is not there. Not going to be my bag for towing.

I have a powerstroke, and test drove a duramax tuesday, not near as much low end it may have more at red line but if you check out what rpm it reaches 300 it is probably close to 3,000, and I have never had a problem in overdrive, a buddy of mine towed a 42 fountain from dallas to miami in overdrive without problems, I actually found a better deal on a slt duramax than the lariat powerstroke, because of the 2500 rebate on all gm trucks and pick up the ford tommorow

Talking Got my Chevy Burb at invoice

Tell me if I can hook you up. The dealer is in Southern California but if the price is right, you could fly over here, hit the big left coast and drive it back.

Brett,
I will be calling you in the morning. I need to tell you exactly which Avalanche I want you to find for me.

I drove tonight:
2002 F-250 PSD/A
2002 2500HD D/A
2002 Sierra Denali
2002 Avalanche 2500
Every one of them loaded, and SWEET!!

I would have told you to trade these guys in VA for the Avalanche I drove tonight, except it has no sunroof, and no On-Star. 0.0% for 60 months on the AV; I am sold.
