Default What is a 26" Scarab w/900HP worth?

What is she worth?

I was thinking about selling my 1996 26’ Scarab kevlar edition sitting on a 2012 aluminum trailer if I can get a decent price or I may piece it out. She has new snap in carpet and cockpit cover. It has a well-built 540 with a 3.3 Whipple making 900HP on pump fuel @7PSI. It is linked up with a full -2” SCX IMCO drive. She has a full hydraulic steering with dual rams. Just about everything was done last season. It has 9 HR since the boat was redone. No corners were cut on this built.

The motor:
Dart block upgraded billet caps.
Lighting all SS blower Headers W 5” tails and baffles.
JE Piston HD/blown.
Crower… Steel Billet Connecting Rods
AFR 335 CNC anodize heads.
Inconel exhaust vales.
Isky Gold strip tool room springs.
TD Shaft rocker with upgraded steel exhaust rockers, spring oiler, needle BRG tip.
Custom Cam (Marine Kinetics).
Cometic Head Gasket.
Nitrided both gears Torrington timing set.
Total Seal Rings MS 9190 255.
Titan pro- billet oil pump.
Dooley oil pans modify to fit the Titan billet oil pump.
3 stage SS Hardin water pump same as the 1075 mercury.
Teague offshore oil cooler good for up to 1500HP
Harden hi-flow remote oil filter.
MSD ignition w/digital-7 and boost retard.
There is much more just way to much to list but this is the basic.

Hard to say but unfortunately it's worth more parted out than selling it as a sum of the parts.

Thats what I am afraid of. I may just stick it in the back garage and save it for the grand son.

Thats a beautiful boat, but as with all boats, only worth what someone would pay, I think look at the average 26 Scarab in good condition, price it a bit higher maybe 5k, or even a little more, someone would definitely consider your boat compared to the others, if I were in that market I would, I just don't need some thing that fast, I would hurt myself! Good luck

Boat is likely a bit over the top for most 26' buyers. Sell the nice motor & drive seperate then get a deal on stock engine/drive and sell it as stock turnkey would be your best bet. Even parts aren't getting what they used to, turnkey boats priced right are still selling pretty good.
