Its ok but in the end it is still a superficial product. Steering wheel is a pretty high wear item and even properly dyed and sealed has trouble holding up. VHT will look ok for a couple months but when it starts to go it looks bad, worse the a worn oem

I second glassdave. I've used it in an automotive application and it definitely didn't hold up. The person who owned my boat before me used it on some of the sunpad and it would come off on your skin before we redid it. Sounds like the perfect solution it just didn't pan out. Plus like was said a steering wheel is pretty high wear. Sorry man.

I used orange rattle can interior paint from Heart Beat City by OER. I used it to touch up the original 1974 rear seat on my Donzi Doral. It looks good & after one summer,, it held up well.

Like in everything its in the prep, no you just dont spray it on, clean the area well, then spray it with bulldog then spray it works good on soft wynil, if its hard then it can be tricky to get it to stick, remember, clean, bulldog, the spray

You are right prep is everything, & yes use the Bull Dog. I did not have soft spots or goo, held up well in the very hot summer we had last year. I'm sure it will wear, & a steering wheel may not be the best place to use it.
