The key ingredient in MMO and liquid wrench is Kerosene.. MMO is great for winterizing engines ..dump some down the carb until it smokes like hell then shut down , coats all the internals.Dump it in slow or youll hydro lock and snap a rod or sumthin..
Mix it with engine oil to clean sludge and carbon deposits..but dont leave it in there , its thin.
Great for lubing air tools and cleaning parts .. I love the stuff:D

You are still using rotten dinosaurs in your motors?

MMO has its place in freeing up a stuck motor, top lube etc... But if you use a good oil (a synthetic one) you NEVER get sludge or any deposits in the lubrication system.

Got a 68 'stang that sits?? Amsoil marine oil is the best thing you could ever do for that motor in the crankcase.

You wont hear about after using synthetic, my motor rebuilt itself. But the lack of deposits and improved lubricity is an absolute fact. Motors last longer and are better protected with synthetic.

The racers run it for a reason. The breakdown temperature on the stuff is through the roof. Filmstrength is untouchable compared to dino-sludge.
Sticking with "good petroleum oil" these days is nothing more than pure ignorance.

How about a ****ty little escort motor with 100,000 miles on it and THREE oil changes?? Yes THREE! (Actually four if you count the first one when I drained the factory sludge out of it.)
35,000 mile oil changes?? My GOD! That guy must be CRAZY!! Right?? That motor must be LOADED with deposits.....hell, it would be amazing if it would even run at all!

I run Amsoil. I don't sell it and I don't give a **** if 3/4's of the population wallows in the bias-ply/points/carb mentality forever.

I had the pleasure of pulling my wifes car apart thanks to a bad casting from Ford and a valve seat that decided to rear its ugly little head at just under 100,000 miles. I owned this thing since new. You tell me if you see any deposits. (No flushing was ever done on this motor.)

Now for a look at the bottom end......

You can see the oil sticking to the metal all over it....so it is pretty obvious that I did not clean it before these pics were taken.....

This is the piston that got trashed when it ate the valve seat...

Heat usually makes for the nastiest deposits in the head right?

Pardon the hints of sarcasm, but when you compare the huge gift that synthetic oil is to motors in general to some snake oil **** like Slick50........ I have to react.

Hopefully someone will see this and realize that I am not selling anything, just trying to help out fellow boaters.

If you bought a Vette, would you put mini-spares on it for tires? Of course not. So if you just dropped huge money on a boat.....why would you put the cheapest **** dino sludge in the engine(s)?? I like to have the best in everything I own. Even my wifes daily driver.

there are a ton of myths about syn vs st. engine oil...yes syn. is the way to go....but this should not affect your oil change interval if you want THE best performance!

we spent an ASS LOAD of $$ to do engine oil study.
