Think you guys are wrong on both counts -These guys took second and third place a guy in a 43 Scarab broke one in half coming off a big , roller and caught two other rollers just right .... happened eight or nine years ago ...... another guy with a high I.Q. Stupid takes no brains!!!!!!!

Thanks for the pics, wow, I watched that video when it first came out and I'm still in amazement with it! Did your friend hear anything as to why he did it? Was it on purpose, lack of attention or what? Maybe just more money than brains.

I don't know the owner. The oso member who sent me the pictures said he is a mechanic where the boat is stored at

Eddie, I surf So Cali. If that wave was that big and did not break . That means the water was really deep. I don't think It could get to the bottom.

Yup my guess is that water was well over 20 feet deep there still. May be a small ledge to get the wave to jack up like that but just past him it flattens back out and never breaks. That is why the surfers are so far inside of were he is.

Some of the people got hurt based on reports but nothing life threatening (at least what I'm hearing) I think it's cool that the donzi is still in one piece...
