Sorry to have changed up this thread but I know who's motor it is and the who's Dyno the motor is on and who business all of this is taking place at. Paul thanks for the PM and I've been in the marine business coming up on 24 years. I don't need the help nor any motor help.

I am current with all the marine OEM schools except Ilmor plus very current on all marine catalyst systems for gas engines. Really to be honest with you - you gave me a hard time once before on here so I wanted to see if you would come clean about your youtube video plus who's stuff this really is. I guess he really is not coming out point blank saying this his motor but wants everyone to think it is.

. You can use a 10.2 deck height height block, but I dont like to use them. The extra 25 inches comes from the difference of 4.600 to a 4.500 bore. I have no issues running a motor up to 7000+ rpm but I sure as Hell wouldnt do it on a Mercruiser motor and that includes ANY Mercruiser motor. I dont believe in treating a new motor like a new born baby either...you can see that in the video. This crap where you baby a motor for 5 to 10 hours is just a steaming pile of Horse**** in my opinion. I have always said...speaking of my motors, to go run them...dont titty-baby them. If the parts in a motor dont seat up in the first 90 seconds of run time...they wont seat up in 5 to 10 hours either. If you do all your prep work correctly and your parts balanced to the weight of a gnats hair and take care in assembly...you are going to have a good motor that should last you for years. This motor will not be spinning 7000+ in a boat, but it probably will see 6000 to 6500 rpm...no problem. The owner was there too and he almost had a heart attack because this happened a total of 5 times.

. This motor made some power and I might be doing another one in a couple of weeks.
When you go from posting videos of 450hp meat and potato big blocks, to a video of a 1000+hp NA one, and say chit like" look where the torque and hp cross at 5800rpm"... Most people would assume you're full of chit. I don't think you have a clue as to how much development it takes to build an engine of that caliber. Care to answer some technical questions? Where's the pics of this one being built in "The magic room"

At least you're entertaining.

Oh dont get me wrong these are very good motors built by some very true engine builders and at one time the leader in NHRA pro stock. I will be using them also if are sportboat market would ever pick back up.

I have taken some of their seminars plus never miss anything they & Dart have to offer at PRI show. Also seem to be always on the same plane ride home with them from PRI. Anyways they are in Arlington Texas. You can hopefully figure it out from there.

I really do not know him personally at all but I really know whats going on in the marine end of things especially in Texas.

he does build some engines and at least he has a great foundation under his motors with R & M short blocks & long blocks plus their machining / build along with all of their teaching. Mostly he sells 454 & 502 with maybe a 540 once in awhile.

Dallas / Ft.Worth is 98 % Wakeboard boats, Pontoon boats, family Rec I/O' s with wakeboard towers on them, bass boats and some cruisers plus the lakes are small and in very low levels all the time for the last 7 years.

A 100 % performance marine engine builder would never be sucessful & profitable in the Dallas / Ft. Worth area alone. Its a dead performance sportboat market here.

Have a nice day Mike.

Sure would like to see a daytime pic of the boat as it does look very nice.

Now back to the regular scheduled programing.
it burmped, what is a burmp,is that what you call a backfire bad enough to put fire in the carb, and no,no engine should backfire and put fire in the carb, ever, not a normal thing to see.

He has personally worked on my boat, he is a great guy with plenty of knowledge!! He had my boat fixed and ready for pick up on time with a few extras for no cost! I was having trouble with my boat and he offered to drive to my house to look at it on a Sunday! Didn't want to put him out so he walked me through it on my phone! I can tell you all , if you were to me shooter in person you wouldn't have the same perseption !!
