Okay,
This sounds like a great idea, a ton of fun I'm sure. I just have a little question: I'm sure we've all held a boat at a dock at some point in our boating lives and we all know what it's like to hold it against a small current or maybe a little breeze. You have to hold the boat with some force -- Same thing at anchor. So what's the force?..... 2pounds, 5, maybe 10? Let's just say in a 1knot current or 5 know breeze a boat needs 5 pounds of force to hold it still. Now take that multiplied by 800:eek: 4000# on the lead boats. Add a little afternoon gust in there of 10 knots and wham now it shoots up a little to perhaps 6000 or 8000# I'd hate to be close to the lead anchor position. |
