the trs drives are indestructable........and the borg warner velvet drives are awesome......i never ran the boat without the bullet noses...however, it has been very difficult to keep the marinetex/bondo intact as i takes a little bodywork to keep it looking pretty. this time i took it down to the metal and put in a tiny amount of marintex, applied self etching epoxy primer, and awlgripped bright aluminum and jet black.......i will run it and let you know how it held up!!!!!!!!

Looking good. I have had good luck with Long Hair Mar Glas holding up ok with Nose Cones. I took them off my boat however as it really does not need them and it never will. I would think that the Marine Tex would also be a good choice for that They look good.

jon,
thanks for the kind words.........i dont think my boat really needs them either, as it only runs in the low 70s with the props i run....it was set up like that when i bought the drives......at what mph do they begin to work?? i heard like 85mph.......i would need about 1200hp+ to get there!!!!!

If you ever redo them again, try some stuff call All-Metal. It is a putty type filler that looks like it has aluminum in it and it has a acid type catylist. Stuff dries hard as a rock. I did my nosecones with it and it lasted 7 years with no blisters or anything, (then sold the boat). A autobody supply should be able to get it.
Those outdrives look killer though. Good job.
