Hey Everybody!! Ideas?

well, a friend of mine got me to stumble into this site. I'm familiar with boats, just not too familiar with the offshore variety.

I'm currently on Lake Michigan (in a Carver) and see a lot of these boats and I'm kinda getting the itch for one. I'd probally dry stack and thinking under 30' and under $60k.

Any ideas???

Welcome to the board!

Have you considered looking at cats?

Welcome to our sick little world we call OSO!
Frequency is right. Leave while you still can. The "itch" that you describe will soon consume you quicker than the Ebola virus. Next thing you know, your wife will kick you out of the house and you'll find yourself waking up with an empty bottle of drive fluid laying next to you and a bad headache.

You should be well in the game for 60 clams!

Good luck

a couple year old 28 checkmate would do you real well up there. good boat, good people, good ride. one of the few boats you won't lose a ton of money on.

any further questions just ask.

Around 30 ft. could mean a twin engine 31 bullet or Sonic or a single 28 Checkmate or Pantera..lots to look at

I would look into a newer single engine
Rather than a older 30 something..Good luck

For your first boat, I'd stick with a single for monetary reasons. However on lake M you'll find more confidence in twins...

28 Skater best bang for the buck and best re-sale and it sounds as if you have the ammeneties problems solved with the cruiser.

I know of a fresh water 30 spectre cat with twin 500hp's for 75k asking.

You could get an old Scarab flat deck for 30K, spend the other 30K redoing the boat, drive it for a few years, and then sell it for 30K.:D

Hey! At least you only lost 30K! And look how much fun you had!:D :D :D
