Default Staniel Cay Yacht Club

The best place to stay inThe Bahamas is Staniel Cay yacht club in the exumas. Your stay includes a boat rental which is a 13 ft Boston Whaler and all gas is included they will even pack you a lunch if you are going to be gone for the day.

Second, that, and they have an airport on the island so you can fly directly there from florida. Also there is thunderball cave to snorkel, the swimming pigs, and a lot of cool places to explore within a short boat ride.

I have been to Atlantis for one day while on a Disney Cruise a few years back.. I have booked a 6 night stay at Atlantis for late August. They have a really cool water park and some really nice beaches. They have what appears to be a nice Casino, however I haven't actually been in it.

I have stayed in both the Abaco's and Staniel. Love both. Either one will give you what you are looking for. If you go to the Abaco's try for Guana Cay or Turtle. Either is great. We rented a house on Guana called Key Lime Cottage and it was fabulous. At the time we had a boat there so it worked really well but there are a ton of rentals there that are great and I think getting a boat is not an issue. Staniel is tremendous. The snorkeling there is the best in the world especially Thunderball. We rented a house there near the yacht club and it included a boat as well. The yacht club can fill up fast but it's great if you can get in. As was said before you can fly in there. I think you have to fly to Nassau first though. Getting to the Abaco's is super easy if that makes a difference. We have stayed on other islands in the Exumas and there is nothing like it in the world but it does help if you have a boat. I highly recommend both. Oh and great exuma is not bad either. Easy to get to, haven't been there in several years but it was fun as well. Doesn't have the small island feel but it has some really quaint places that are away from the hustle and bustle. It's not like Nassau or Grand Bahama (Freeport).

Atlantis is a lot of fun, expensive but fun. I stayed there for 6 weeks on and off a few years ago. If you are like me, I searched out a place to get a drink and sit in a hot tub there for weeks on end. There is only one hot tub in the entire place, and it is at the pool next to the channel to come into Atlantis marina, just off nassau harbor. Also venture to Green parot bar just across the street from atlantis in Hurricane Hole marina, it is cheaper and less crowded.

X3 for the Exumas chain. We have a piece of property on Tropic of Cancer Beach on little Exuma that we hope to one day build a beach cottage. The family islands gives you the true out island experience where Atlantis and some of the other "resorts" with all Inclusive meals feel more like a fun jet type trip.

Not trying to high jack thread but I too am looking for somewhere to go in mid Oct for my honeymoon. I've been to Nassau, Bimini, Freeport, Jamaica. Also would like an all-inclusive since me and my other half LOVE to drink but doesn't have to be. Any recommendations ?

Just got back from Atlantis this past Sunday for a week and it was everything and more ...waterparks for kids..casinos..eye candy...waterparks for grown ups...place is huge...only problem is don't go for less than 5 days, you will be disappointed about not seeing full island, it's massive..
