All the helos and numerous onboard cameras in other boats should provide gossip material and countless critiques for years to come.

Also a rumor that Jayboat may have actually been focused on that particular boat at the exact moment.

Only time will reveal the truth and/or consequences.

Im blown away how few people stopped after witnessing that blow over. Not even a chopper ?
Terrible.
Glad everyone is safe and did not get run over after surviving the crash.

JT stopped right away and plucked one guy out of the water. People stopped. It just takes time to stop.

Keep in mind the speeds these boats are traveling and the amount of time that elapses. The video doesnt last all that long, nor does it pan around afterwards, so no telling exactly who and how many came to the rescue.

If you were along the shore watching, you are probably anchored some 300 yds away to stay safe yourself. How fast can you get there even if you were ready for action the moment it took place ?

Then your looking up river at another wave of go fast boats that have no idea anything has gone wrong and your crossing the river sideways or worse yet a floating target.

Then you speak of the heli pilots. Your in a pack of 6-8 copters all hauling the mail trying to film and keep up with the leaders. Your first in the pack, you see the action....then what ? You bank hard right or left right into the oncoming way of the next heli ?

None of these vehicles have breaks. None have person to person (boat to boat) communication, it takes time to slow down, turn around or aide in the rescue. None of which you can see in the video.

It sounds like some participants did stop, aided in the rescue and no further incidents took place. From the first pics, it appears as though there was some sort of tow boat quickly on scene as well, so hopefully the boat was salvaged as well.

Totally can't believe you are telling John Arruda about how fast boats go. Irony rocks.

glad their ok

i counted atleast 2 helos that turned back in the vid also along with a boat or two.

actually seems like more choppers than at the normal race now a days. going to be an expensive lesson for those guys along with possible big affects for DS and poker runs in general.
